Here’s how it works:
· An online visit with Washington DC Dermatology guides patients through several simple steps of creating a patient profile, collecting some medical history, uploading photos of the problem condition and getting the patient’s description of the condition.
· After her review, Dr. Holmes provides a detailed online response that includes a diagnosis and personalized treatment plan within three business days, along with routing any necessary prescriptions to the patient’s preferred pharmacy.
· When medically necessary, the patient will be referred for an in-office visit.
The service can also be used by parents or guardians to conduct online visits for children or others, without needing to miss work or school. Among the more than 3,000 conditions for which patients can access the system are acne, rashes, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, toenail fungus, suspicious moles, dandruff and more.
